Overview

This project challenged me to design two looping animated patterns that explore the theme of "opposites." The goal is to investigate contrast through visual and motion-based elements—such as light vs. dark, fast vs. slow, sharp vs. soft, etc.—while using strong design principles and smooth animation.

Approach

  1. The two "opposites" explored are land/mountain and sea/ocean

  2. Points of contrast:
    - Roundness of graphics used for sea/ocean vs. the harsh lines used for land/mountain
    - Contrasting colors
    - Animating in opposing directions

  3. Maintaining harmony:
    - Same pacing for both animations
    - Same grid layout for both patterns
